Information we collect

When you join an interest list, we collect the email address and city you provide, along with the time and source of the signup.

We use privacy-conscious website analytics to understand page visits, referral sources, approximate location, device type, and general site performance. We do not put email addresses into analytics events.

Our email provider reports delivery, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe, open, and link-click events so we can operate the list, protect deliverability, and evaluate editions.

How we use information

We use subscriber information to measure demand by city, send the editions and launch updates a person requested, operate the service, and understand whether the publication is useful.

We may use aggregate, non-identifying audience information when describing Sidewalk Post to potential local partners. We do not sell subscriber email addresses.

Service providers and retention

We use service providers for hosting, databases, analytics, and email delivery. They process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

We retain subscriber information while a subscription or city interest remains active and as reasonably needed for security, compliance, and suppression of messages after an unsubscribe request.

Your choices

Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe method. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete your subscriber information by emailing privacy@sidewalkpost.com.
